Morris Garages (MG) was founded in 1924, when Cecil Kimber began creating sportier versions of Morris cars. The MG name was born in the Morris Garages workshop as a symbol of dynamics, style, and engineering elegance. From the first models to iconic roadsters, the brand built a reputation for cars with vivid character and became an icon of British automotive heritage.
It all began in a small Morris Garages workshop in Oxford. William Morris envisioned a sports car not for aristocrats, but for people who simply loved speed.
MG enters Mille Miglia — a race where Italians were considered unbeatable. It becomes the first non-Italian team to take the win.
MGB arrives — the best-selling model in MG history. An open-top two-seat sports car that made British style recognizable worldwide.
